A to Z Blogging Challenge: Z is for Zoo

We love to visit the zoo. When David and I were in college at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, we visited the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden very often. The Houston Zoo is huge, as I understand it, but we've never been because I do not like driving in that city. The Texas Zoo down in Victoria, Texas was really nice. It wasn't a big zoo, but it had very pretty landscaping and a cool reptile house.

The butterfly gardens and the monkeys are my favorites, no matter which zoo we're visiting.

This video is of the monkeys at The Riverbanks Zoo.

  1. Great Z post.

    Contrats on finishing the challenge.

    1. Thanks on both counts. I hope that you're having a great weekend!

  2. Was that the monkeys hooting like that? Do you know what kind they were?

    1. Yes, those are the monkeys making all that noise. Although this isn't one of my videos (found it on YouTube), I remember all their hooting from when David and I used to visit Riverbanks. They are hilarious. I am not sure what type of monkeys these are.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a great weekend, what's left of it!

  3. I also enjoy zoos. A few weeks ago I visited the Los Angeles Zoo. I was a bit disappointed, but maybe because it was so crowded.

Congratulations on making it through the A to Z Challenge. Join us on May 7th with your Challenge Reflections post.

    1. I don't really like big crowds, either. I would imagine that the LA Zoo is huge!

Thank you for stopping by and commenting, as well as for the invitation and congratulations. Congratulations to you, too.

      Have a great week!
