Things we're chatting about this week:
Barbie asks: What's your favorite coffee drink?
I don't like coffee. I love its aroma...it smells great! But it tastes icky, so I very, very rarely drink it.
Dreaming asks: What's the chore you hate the most that you wish Blogger would come do?
Washing dishes would be my choice.
Farm Girl asks: Why did you decide to start a blog?
I love to write and it seemed like a logical thing to do. It would give me a place to write and hopefully get feedback, too.
Suzanne asks: Who's your most famous relative?
I have several choices, and the most well-known would be Elvis. The one that I learned the most about in my art history class (as we focused on architecture) is Thomas Jefferson. The one that I've read the most about recently is Andrew Pickens, a brigadier general in the Revolutionary War. You can read about him here: Cowpens and here: Wizard Owl. His son, Andrew Pickens, Jr. was also one of the governors of South Carolina.
Cathy Kennedy asks: Have you ever given yourself a home perm?
No, I've never given myself a home perm. All kinds of scary would happen if I attempted that. I have, however, colored my hair before. I ended up with way cool purple hair because I intentionally left it on ten minutes longer than the instructions said. It was a blast!
I agree with you on the coffee issue- icky taste wonderful smell!
ReplyDeleteCoffee does smell better than it actually tastes, but I enjoy a good cup and drink this hot beverage often.
ReplyDeleteYou're related to Elvis? Like in Elvis Presley, the King of Rock n' Roll?

Wow! related to Elvis...that's a fantastic conversation starter.
ReplyDeleteYes, coffee does smell so good. But it tastes so bad. Funny, isn't it?
You have some famous relatives. Compared to that, Wendell isn't that famous. (But we won't tell him!) Thanks for joining in!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and following, it's nice to meet you!

@EmptyNester
ReplyDeleteIf they would just bottle the smell, that would be great, eh? haha
@Cathy Kennedy
ReplyDeleteYep, that would be the one. :) He died 2 days before my 12th birthday. My daddy got me several of his albums as a present. They've been long gone, but I sure loved to listen to them. :)
Thanks for sharing your links here! Have a wonderful evening.
@Stephanie V
ReplyDeleteThank you. :) He's a distant cousin through my maternal grandma. Her picture is in the slide show in the right side bar titled Grandma Maggie Spence.
Yes, it is funny how something so icky can smell so good.
Have a great evening!
@Patrice
ReplyDeleteAwww, Wendell is super famous and at least he isn't "infamous", right? I have some of those, too (like Frank and Jesse James haha).
Thanks for having these farmhouse chats, Patrice. I really enjoy them. :)
