End of First Week

My first week of returning to school is coming to a close. I got all of the assignments done and spent a good part of the week crying because I didn't think that I would ever get it done.

I knew going into it that I wouldn't do a bang-up job on the Algebra assessment. Even when I was a young whippersnapper with full use of my brain cells, Algebra was not my friend. OK, so it will be basic math again. I did fine on the Language Arts assessment and will be taking Composition and Rhetoric (if my previous college courses are too far in the past to transfer for credit). I passed the first of the Art Appreciation quizzes, too. I got 18 points out of 20 points. I should know by now to go with my first choice for an answer...if I had followed that advice, I would have gotten 20 out of 20 points. Oh well. At least I passed it.

It has certainly been interesting so far, the Art Appreciation class, that is. I have had to read about things from cans of poo to things that struck me as downright blasphemous. But, I was also introduced to something that I think is totally amazing. It is called Spiral Jetty by Robert Smithson.

When you're forced to trudge through the muck in order to get to the good stuff, what keeps you going?

Thanks, Katrina! I appreciate your encouragement very much.

Speaking of the light at the end of the tunnel, are you ever convinced that it is on a train that is going to run you over? haha That's how I'm feeling at the moment. I have a thousand word paper due by Sunday night and don't even know where to begin.

Thanks so much for visiting and commenting here. Best wishes to you for a great night. :)
