We are to write for five minutes, unedited, free from worry of corrections and saying "just the right thing". This week's prompt is: Deep Breath
===
I took a deep breath the day that they told me that my baby girl was growing inside me. I was happy, excited, and it put me in my seat because I wasn't expecting to be expecting with a four-month old baby at home already.
When I sat down -and I guess it was possibly closer to a near-fainting than a regular sitting down- they asked me if I was OK. Yes, I was OK, just very surprised. My little sister was with me that day, and I think that she needed to sit down, too. I remember that we both laughed, nervous laughter, but also the "only you" kind of laughter that sisters do when they know the other has gotten into something unexpected.
People have often asked me if my baby girl was unplanned. No, although she wasn't expected to come so soon after my youngest son, she wasn't unplanned. I have always wanted a houseful of babies. But, even more than any plans that my husband or I had, Heavenly Father had plans for a baby to enter my life at that point in time and He has plans for her life.
I took a deep breath and pushed her into this world early one June morning and have been holding my breath ever since.
