Day 2: My Favorite Movie

This, too, is a hard one for me to answer with just one answer. There are so many movies that I love, mostly old movies. Here is my narrowed down list of favorites, in no particular order:

The Quiet Man
Darby O'Gill and the Little People
Gone With the Wind
Rob Roy
Braveheart
The Secret of Roan Inish
Miracle on 34th Street (the old one)
It's a Wonderful Life

The one that I guess holds the most meaning to me personally would be It's a Wonderful Life. George goes through a whole lot of heartache and disappointment in his life and feels, at one point, that people would be better off had he never been born. I've been there. Although life has some good spots, there are an awful lot of disappointments and hurts along the way. In the end, though, George saw just how much he meant to people and the difference that he had made along the way.

Like an old friend once told me, "It can't rain all the time."

All of us, no matter how big or small, make a difference to someone out there. We may not know it at the time (or ever!), we may not even know them, but we are making a difference.
