Day Seventy-One: Amazed

My children constantly amaze me. The most recent amazement happened at the local college’s talent show. My oldest daughter competed, singing Justin Beiber’s song “Pray”, which is something that I never could have worked up the nerve to do. This girl is just like her late Papa. He was a goofy guy that didn’t mind attention and, for the most part, she doesn’t have a bashful bone in her body. That is no real surprise.

However, the surprise of the night came when my youngest daughter went to the front of the room, in front of the stage, and danced with her sister in front of all those people. She isn’t usually one for calling attention to herself like that, at least not until she warms up to the people around. She must have warmed up pretty good. She didn’t have a single trace of her shy mother in her. My youngest son is more like me, happy to blend into the shadows and not call attention to himself.

They all amaze me. They are beautiful, smart, and giving people.

Who amazes you and why? What is it about them that makes you constantly think “Wow!”

71. I am thankful for my children, for their resilience, for their faith, and for their love. I am thankful that Heavenly Father entrusted them to me.

Thank you so much for stopping by this morning. I'm glad to have brought a smile to you. :)

I like how you said "their own unique creation". I see them each as a piece of art themselves. :)
