Important Notice!!! We are currently dealing with a serious health crisis involving David. Computer time and blogging will be taking a backseat until we can get this situation under control and, hopefully, save his leg. Please bear with us as we go through this difficult time. Thank you for any prayers that you can offer up.

Also, if you'd love to help cheer him up, please subscribe to his YouTube channel. That would really make his day! The link is at the bottom of all of my posts.

Thank you and Merry Christmas to all of you!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

During my blog travels, I came across a fun site that features Scavenger Hunt Sunday. I went nearly a year without picking up my camera due to illness and I've been itching to get back into it full-swing. This scavenger hunt sounded like fun, so I decided to play along.

1. Decay

Photobucket

Rust is a form of decay and I found rust on a farm implement known as a hay rake while visiting the Varner-Hogg Plantation in West Columbia, Texas this past Friday. I think that the old farm tools hold much more character, although more strenuous labor, than the new, modern machinery available to farmers today.

2. Three

Photobucket

I love flowers of all types, including those more normally referred to as "weeds". Like someone else said on their post a few days ago, "hey, weeds are flowers, too!". (Sorry, but I don't know who it was that posted it.)

3. Kitchen

Photobucket

I love most anything that involves a Tuscan or Mediterranean theme, especially when it involves grapes. This Biscotti jar is no exception. I do not remember how it came to be in my possession, but I am glad that it did. I love the bit of color that it gives to my kitchen.

4. Hmmm

Photobucket

This is a collection of seeds that will fly away to grow a who-knows-what. I certainly do not know. :) I thought that it was interesting and there are a ton of them in my backyard right now. I like to photograph things that are different from the norm in nature photography. I see lots of pretty flower pictures around, but not so many of the seeds.

5. Me Time

Photobucket

One of my favorite things to do is to knit, especially things for babies. This soft shade of green is the one that I use most frequently for baby projects.

    Mostly I'm a Susan.
Hope you'll do that scavenger hunt again, it's always fun.

  6. Thank you so much, Ashley, Julie, Jessica, Jill and Dorian for the kind comments. I really enjoyed this scavenger hunt. I plan to participate again and hopefully on a regular basis. :)

I have also found a new photography project to participate in called Project Life Tuesday. The link to it is in my sidebar. It looks like it will be fun, too.

    Have a wonderful day!
    Your sis in Christ,
    Suz
