Day Forty-Three: The Whine Zone and Beyond

Have you ever had one of those days that it seems nothing goes right? That was how the day went here at McClendon Villa.

The interviewer lost part of our files and what they did manage to keep up with, they had written down wrong information. They express mailed paperwork to us on Tuesday expecting us to have it in time for an 8am Wednesday over-the-phone interview and then wanted to fax 23 pages to us because we didn’t yet have what they mailed. Good grief!

The mowers had gone through and destroyed the spider lilies that I had seen and wanted to photograph.

A city cop went zooming through the parking lot, nearly running over a handful of pedestrians rightfully in the crosswalk.

The main course was done and cold before the sides could even get started for supper this evening.

And the youngest started hurling.

Whine, whine, and whine...me, not the kids. Ever have one of those days?!

For all that seemed to go wrong, I can count my blessings because so many things went right.

My husband was here with me and we can do the majority of our business together.

There were other fields of wildflowers to be photographed and by next week this area should be overloaded with them.

The cop did not kill anybody.

Supper was great, a special treat, even though it did have to visit the microwave for a reheat.

Baby girl was feeling much better by the time she went to bed.

We all have them, good moments and bad. What put your life in balance today? Please share the good things that are going on in your life. What are you thankful for today?

43. I am thankful for time with my husband, for businesses that can co-exist, for fields of flowers and color, for safety in the face of danger, for food in our bellies and for healthy children.
