What is your book about? Have you though...Thanks. What is your book about? Have you thought about self-publishing? That might be the way to go so that your work is out there. Some folks are rejected time and time again by the mainstream publishers, then self-publish and are successful. Then, the mainstream publishers wake up and realize they missed on a good thing. This happened to Zig Ziglar with See You at the Top.

It is worth a try. Just because they rejected your book doesn't mean it is without merit. Some of the gatekeepers just don't want to bother with a new author. Why not try publishing it on Kindle for starters?

Have a blessed day.Suzanne McClendonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15563562309945754772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7113402480415418715.post-65522977256511836172016-07-10T02:05:53.206-05:002016-07-10T02:05:53.206-05:00YOUCH! They were strong enough to help in the process. My smallest surviving baby was the hardest delivery physically for me. I'm glad that everything turned out okay in the end for you and for your grandma. :) My grandma had 7 babies and my granny had 3. I agree, women are fierce and tough. :)

We can be nice to people even if we don't agree with their lifestyles and choices, very true. It is just infuriating when we're expected to ignore this or that they are doing, but they can jump all over us for this or that we are doing. I think the whole earth needs a chill pill these days. :)

Have a blessed day.Suzanne McClendonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15563562309945754772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7113402480415418715.post-41030702467305100442016-07-09T14:05:13.127-05:002016-07-09T14:05:13.127-05:00Great answers!

Oh well...someday I'll try again :)
Yvonnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13261873308731564886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7113402480415418715.post-45619084630665405302016-07-09T12:43:51.017-05:002016-07-09T12:43:51.017-05:00My grandmother had 11 children! - so when it came ...My grandmother had 11 children! - so when it came time for me to have my first, I wasn't that scared at all. And then all started going wrong! But then, it all turned out okay in the end anyway. Women are fierce - mine was 10 pounds, 8 oz!!!

I just see tolerance simply as I am accepting towards the other person as a fellow human being, just trying to find their way in this world; same as me. It doesn't mean that I "accept" their choices or behaviour. And yes, I certainly expect the same consideration in return. It's really not that hard to do at all. When she woke up, she was afraid I was still in there. :)

It sounds like you were in a hurry to arrive. Our youngest was born only an hour after getting to the hospital, too. She would have arrived sooner, but as soon as they mentioned drugs, I said "Gimme!". I knew better and shouldn't have taken them. All they did was put her to sleep and slow down the works. I drove myself to the hospital at 7cm dilation and thought I was going to deliver her on the road.

Were your siblings over 9 lbs, too? My mama and her siblings were all big babies. My mama had relatively little babies. I was a month early and weighed 6 lbs 2 ozs. My brothers were twins and just over 5 lbs each. My sister was the only average-sized baby and she was a little over 7 lbs, if I remember correctly.

I'm sure your mama doesn't think you owe her an apology. I'm sure she's happy to have you. :)

Have a beautiful day and a great weekend!Suzanne McClendonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15563562309945754772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7113402480415418715.post-92190461270318427692016-07-08T08:54:25.607-05:002016-07-08T08:54:25.607-05:00Thank you and Annie for hosting the fill-ins. I've just got to figure out how to get my brain in gear again.

How rude and mean of them to ask you to mouth the words! My mama was the one that discouraged my singing. She said that I couldn't carry a tune in a tin bucket. Really, I wonder who could?

I hope that you have a great weekend, too, as well as a beautiful day. :)Suzanne McClendonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15563562309945754772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7113402480415418715.post-7510651438856098662016-07-08T08:46:20.937-05:002016-07-08T08:46:20.937-05:00Great answers! I'm sure glad your labor pains weren't horrific, though! My mom always tells me how much of a blur my birth was, as I was born less than an hour after they arrived at the hospital, and I was born at 9 lbs 8 oz. with my mother having received no pain meds or anything of the sort. I feel like I owe her a huge apology. The Menagerie Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02398992091463959888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7113402480415418715.post-34022085565053426792016-07-08T08:31:37.485-05:002016-07-08T08:31:37.485-05:00Thank you for participating in the fill-ins. I hope you can get back to South Carolina. And I am sure you sing better than I do- I was asked to mouth the words in college in the choir :) Have a nice weekend. pilch92https://www.blogger.com/profile/12263559408792146826noreply@blogger.com
