Meet Me on Monday - Make Mine Bacon, Please!

Please be sure to stop by and visit Never Growing Old! Each Monday
they post questions to help us get to know each other better. They are over-40 friendly. :)

Questions:

1. Who would be your dream celebrity date?

At this point in my life, I can honestly say that there is not one. The only one that I ever positively drooled over was Elvis, and well, he isn't in the dating scene anymore. There's the whole business of him being old enough to be my daddy, too. :)

2. Do you have any food restrictions?

Yes! Many...I am allergic or intolerant to everything on the planet, it seems. Some foods just cause a minor reaction, like a rash. Other things, I have to plan on being home for the evening if I eat them. Other things cause full-blown anaphylaxis...not fun at all. Cashews make my lips swell up better than Botox, split apart, and ooze icky, stinky stuff. There's no coverup in the world for that. Dairy and wheat cause the minor issues and citrus fruits are at the
top of the skull and cross-bones list for me.

3. How much time do you take to get ready in the morning?

For the first time that I'm leaving in the morning, about fifteen minutes. I run my husband to his morning appointment and my daughter to her classes, then I come back for the "real" getting ready. That probably takes about half an hour, sometimes up to an hour. It very rarely takes longer than that. I don't wear make-up and so that cuts off a ton of prep time.

4. Sausage or bacon?

We're trying to go vegan raw, so my answer should be neither. But, I love bacon! Sausage is OK, but it gives me heartburn. Bacon goes with everything, sort of like black shoes. :)

5. Do you Google, Bing or Yahoo?

I use Swagbucks for searching. It finds the things that I am looking for just as good as the others do and we earn things (like Amazon gift cards) for using it.

  1. I was never an Elvis fan but my oldest daughter loved him. She had a chance to go see him a couple of years before he died and because it was on a school night I wouldn't let her go. I still regret it and she has never forgotten it. I have seen some really good Elvis impersonators. One was his cousin. I hope you have a great week. Doylene

  2. Thanks, Doylene. :) Elvis died 2 days before my 12th birthday. My cousin and I had planned to go visit Graceland when she turned 16 (another year away at the time).

I'm sorry that you have regrets and your daughter missed the chance to see him. I hope that we'll all get to meet him in Heaven some day.

I am enjoying reading your blog. One post in particular I really needed right now. Thank you!
